Avery shaking her bootie to the alphabet is her new favorite activity. Not really sure what to make of her dancing style! It's cute and funny that every song she dances to, she just stands in one spot and shakes her little butt! Also, don't mind her hairstyle...had just taken out her braids and were taking a break!

To blog or not to blog
It's been so long since I posted, I am thinking blogging may not be in my future much longer! Things are so busy now with 3 kids and blogging is not ranking very high on the to do list. Luckily I am on summer break now, and only teaching one class this fall, so I "should" have more time to post!
Avery is doing spectacular! She can be a little rambunctious at times, but nothing major. Her speech has not really progressed as quickly as we had hoped, so looks like speech therapy will be in her future. She tries to tell us things, but everything sounds exactly the same. And it's not creole...it's just the same sound over and over.
She is eating pretty much anything and everything now, such a change from the first few weeks home. Her bathroom issues (weird stinky poop) still exist, but I have heard from other families it may not ever go away. This summer I am hoping to get her potty trained, and if not, definitely this fall.
Avery loves to play, laugh, run (FAST!!), jump, yell, and snuggle. She also loves to say "NO!" However, she will hug us over and over through out the day. She loves her bed and sleeps on her belly with her arms up above her head like she is flying. It's so cute. She is such a sound sleeper, nothing wakes her up. She asks to go to her bed at night and has a huge smile when she gets tucked in. So far there are only a few things we have found she doesn't like...ice cream, milk, fruits/veggies, riding on elevators, and going to the doctor! :)
I was lucky enough to hit the beach for a few days with my co-workers this past weekend. She stayed home with Daddy and brothers which worked out really well! I didn't think I would be able to make the trip this year, but she is doing so well it was really a non-issue.
I'll post some updated photos later today...the cord I need to download photos is among the missing.
Here are a few photos from the past month or so!
