We returned yesterday from our trip to the Mast Farm Inn located in historic Valle Crucis, NC. It was relaxing but we managed to stay quite busy the whole time! Here are a few photos from our trip...and yes, Mike rented the Porsche for a day (it was an option offered at the Inn... and of course he couldn't refuse!) We also braved the SCREAM zip line which was unbelievably fun. Also, what a small world...the owners of the Inn were from Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The same city our daughter is living in the orphanage. How strange! They grew up there and moved to NC two years ago.
Anyway, now it's back to reality...

Leapin' Lizard
After many tries, we finally caught the lizard that lives in our garage. He was hiding out in Mike's golf bag. Don't worry, we let him go before the boys inflicted any injury to him!

We Thank You!
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to all who contributed this year to our JDRF Walk Team. Caden is always so proud of this event and raising money for "his" diabetes. Every year we have more and more difficulty raising the money, so we appreciate your donations more than you could ever know! If you still would like to donate you can send your donation in to our address or donate online at http://www.jdrf.org. You have until June 30th to contribute to our team.

Food Crisis in Haiti
We have heard of a little one in the orphange dying of lung disease possibly because her mom's ate dirt as a staple in her diet. I couldn't image it was all that "common" until I saw this link on www. foxnews.com "Haiti Harsh Realities", mentioning people resorting to eating "dirt cookies".
Here is a video link.
The orphange our little girl lives at is also experiencing a huge financial hardship. If you would like to donate money to the orphage for food and rent, please visit:
